Our story

We dream of a world where no one goes hungry. A world where parents don't have to choose between falling behind on rent or skipping meals. Where children go to school with a full belly, ready to learn. And where communities help each other out when things get tough. Will you dream of this world with us?

Right now, food banks are bridging the gap between the world we live in and the one we dream of. Food banks are a place where people come together to make sure that those in crisis have what they need. Food? Yes. Toiletries and household items? Yes. But also a listening ear, a smile, and a nod to say “It’s ok. You’ll get through this.” This is only possible due to the incredible generosity of people like you.

At Bankuet, we make it easy for you to be part of this incredible network and support food banks in your community and across the U.K.

How does Bankuet work?

It all started in 2019 when our founder Robin Ferris was volunteering at a food bank. He saw that often they had too much of some supplies, and not enough of others. On top of this, the traditional way of giving food to food banks is time-consuming and inefficient.

This is where Bankuet comes in. With Bankuet, you can give to a food bank at the touch of a button through our website. Plus, we make sure your donation goes as far as possible for maximum impact through the power of bulk buying; for every £1 you give, we deliver more than £1 of food!

People all over the U.K. are having to make gut-wrenching decisions about whether to skip meals or risk having their power cut off. They have to use food banks for a wide range of reasons: unexpected costs, loss of work, illness or disability, the list goes on...

But this is just the tip of the iceberg
